I not too long ago bought this webcam. Set-up etc. reasonably straightforward, even though lead is a bit too short to enable me to connect to the mic jackplug on the pc (on the floor by the side of my desk) and location the camera on major of the monitor. But as it occurs this doesn't matter, as although the image high quality is fairly fantastic, the mic is virtually useless and I have had to resort to a seperate mic. If I hadn't owned one particular, I would have returned the webcam. There is also rather a delay in the synchronisation of speech and lip movement ...even though I think this might possibly be a standard difficulty with webcams in common. I'm sure there are improved all round webcams for the cost. I wouldn't advise this one particular unless you just want decent visuals and sound is unimportant.
I purchased this camera to use for telephone conversations on Skype. The picture good quality is fine but the microphone is definitely useless, you can not hear anything at all. Due to the fact of this I had to spend extra funds on a microphone. Do not purchase this webcam if you want to use it for much more than visual purposes. If you want a inexpensive webcam with ok picture top quality then this is the camera for you.
